Finding Balance in Chaos
Do you feel overwhelmed?
Stressed?
Like everything is happening at once?
Assignments.
Expectations.
Noise.
Chaos.
Many years ago, after a laboratory session, one of my students quietly stacked a few stones on the lab bench.
No instructions.
No purpose.
Just curiosity.
I stopped, looked, and took a photograph.
Years later, I turned that simple moment into the artwork you see here.
What amazed me was this:
The stones were not balanced because they were perfect.
They were balanced because each stone found its place.
Physics calls it the centre of gravity.
Life calls it balance.
Sometimes we think we need to fix everything before we can feel calm.
Maybe not.
Maybe balance is not about controlling every problem.
Maybe balance is simply learning what deserves our energy and what does not.
"To every student facing examinations:
You do not need to carry the whole mountain today.
Just focus on the next stone.
Then the next.
Then the next.
One careful step at a time."
