When I started learning Physics, I always have a mindset that Physics will be the hardest and subject I ever learn. But, after few months, I find that Physics also a fun subject. I learnt lots of things from my friends and especially my Physics teacher, Mr Lim Chuan Yang. They taught me a different view about Physics and how to stay survive on this subject. Physics also make me to be creative and confident with myself even though I know that my answers are wrong. At least I tried and the efforts are the most important thing at thus situation.

The most enjoyable part in Physics is when I managed to create a water rocket with my partner, Jesminah. We managed to fly the water rocket after several failures and it took a week for us to make it done. I also enjoy when we managed to find the answers because Physics is known as a “hardest” subject so when we found the answers, it feel a victory for us. I never thought it will be this fun. I hope lots of students will like Physics subject and my advice to them is do not give up because one day you will thank to yourself for never giving up.

Physics Reflecting writing by Brian Liew Sze Jiet

 

In the beginning, I thought that it was easy but when I studied further I realized that it was so much more than just the mere calculation of numbers. It goes very deep with Higher Order Thinking Questions(HOTS)… (Sigh) as it includes many kinds of calculations, substitutions and so one. Thankfully, maybe God has heard my suffering, so He has blessed me with someone to save the day. Our physics teacher MR LIM CHUAN YANG is my savior. He taught me patiently on how the formula works and how to solve the problems. He also answered my questions whenever I was confused with the topics or questions. It is undeniable that his teaching method is very different from other teachers. It is very fun, so our class is interested in Physics even though it gets very tough sometimes. Every time I felt upset and was resigned to giving up when I didn’t know how to deal with difficulties, my ‘Savior’ would encourage me saying “the ship was not built for parking in the safety of the pier, it is made to brave the waves and to cross the seas”.

I can vividly remember that the most enjoyable part in Physics is when we were doing our Physics project. Fate has a strange way of working as Mr. Lim had assigned Filza and I to be in a pair as partners. It was my first time to get along with a Muslim partner for a project. Besides it was an unforgettable experience as it was the first time we did the WATER ROCKET and CLUSTER HOUSE project. Sometimes, it was difficult for me to communicate with her because I cannot speak Malay or English fluently. After many hiccups, we reached a consensus in the end and completed our tasks despite taking a long time to finish it. I learned a lot from it. I appreciate those who has helped and encouraged me -  to Mr Lim who gave me this opportunity to learn beyond the curriculum and to Filza who has taught me something I could never have learnt anywhere else. Thanks.

When I started learning Physics,I am totally do not know anything about Physics because it was the first time I heard about that subject.I tried to read Physics text book before Physics classes and  I was thought that I can’t go with Physics.I felt stressed and I decided to change my stream.At first,it was really hard for me to understand all the concepts but Alhamdulillah it was getting better day by day because I have a good and excellent Physics teacher like Mr Lim Chuan Yang.He helps us a lot in Physics by giving us a lot of exercises.Sometimes,we do not manage to hand in all the exercises on time but he understood that we have a lot of tasks to be finished so he rarely scolded us.He is ‘very the memahami’.I always use that phrases to describe someone who can understand our feelings and situations.I believe he can help me to get   at least A- for my Physics in SPM Insyaallah.

 

The most enjoyable part in Physics is when we are doing our projects.At first I thought all of the projects are burdens for us but it was enjoyable and quite cool for me.By doing the projects,I can challenge myself.I don’t believe that I can do a water rocket,a cluster house and a ringbook.I thought it was impossible for me to do all of the things because I don’t use to do it in my daily life.The projects taught me to be more creative,positive and increase my patience.I believe all of you will miss the moments you did all the projects with your partner.I’m grateful to have a hardworking partner like Brian.He is very understanding and easy-going.He always wants to do the best for every tasks given.We usually met up at Sharetea or Brian’s office to finish our projects.It was a new experience for me to work with a Chinese boy because I have not been partnered with any boy before this.I am sorry for all of my grammar mistakes but I have tried my best to write it in English.That is all from me.Thank you.

When I first started learning physics, I can’t cope with the subject very well. I’m very sure that I cannot score well in my first trial exam. However, after learning deep inside the subject, I found that it is fun and interesting. In Physics, I can learn new things that mostly happen in our life every day. I enjoy the most during any experiments that we conducted. After experiments, I can understand more about each topic. For example, after conducted the electricity experiments, I can understand on how to connect the circuit. My group friends also did well in the group works. Even though I am the one who acts as the computer captain, but they still generate their ideas and give me information to do assignment. I am proud to have Chieng Fong Ling (Group Leader) and Lau Hui Mei (Assistant Group Leader). They were really good group members to have. Especially, Chieng Fong Ling. Even though she is the top student, I mean the best among 5TU students and mostly top students always busy and do a lot of homework (tuition), but she never left us. She is really good at being the leader. She is a responsible and teamwork person.

The most enjoyable and interesting moment is when we do the trial launching for the water rocket assignment. During the making of water rocket until the launching, we have given our own ideas on planning the base (launcher) and the water rocket. On the day of trial launching, we cooperate with each other to make it successful. Even though, the water rocket did not boost up very high, but we have done our best and enjoying the moment together before SPM. I think it is the most valuable moment because we seldom spent time with each other as we were struggle for our SPM.

I am very proud and happy to have Mr. Lim Chuan Yang as my physics teacher. He is very helpful person. He always points our name during the lessons to answer his question. The best is he helps us to understand most of the chapter by asking a lot of question because when he asks, automatically our brain will try to find the answer. This way, it helps me to remember about the topics. At first, I hardly memorize the formula, but after struggle a lot and with teachers help, finally I can remember them. Now, I want to say that I love Physics.

Physics Reflecting Writing by Ann Merit

     I am Ann Merit, form 5TU (5 Science) or known as class 11. I started to expose to Physics subject since I was in class 10. It is a slow exposure but I really enjoy studying Physics. All the terms and concepts really help me to understand how do world's work. Without further a do, let me share about my experience during studying Physics.

   When I first started learning Physics, I didn't really understand the concepts and the applications applied. On that day onward, I really convince by myself that Physics is a really tough subject. I do love Physics, but I can't really keep up with it when I was in year 10. All the theory and memorizing, well we didn't get along very well. So far, I'm not really good in memorizing theory and formula. So I got stuck there. Physics is the second tough subject other than History.

  I dislike the part where I started to drift myself from Physics. And my grades drop. I felt so disappointed that time and really helpless, since most of my classmates could score really well in Physics. You know the feeling of, mixture of shame and anger, at the same time jealousy and hatred? Well, yes, I feel that.

     When I was in class 11. I expose to Physics little by little. And little do I know, I stared to understand the concepts and theories that had been playing tricks on me.  Thanks to my teacher Mr Lim, I do get the hang on it. I understand the concepts and theories, when my teacher started to hand-in us the assignment. He is a very patient teacher and very funny. Well his jokes really fire things up before lesson starts. There is this one unique teacher that I got in my class.

      Not long ago, around 1 month or less, we have Physics workshop. We learnt something that we didn't know, how to study Physics the right way. Well the workshop do help us how to memorize definitions and formula and stuff. Thanks to our teacher, I do get the the hang on Physics a little bit.

     Not to mention, my favorite part is when we get to do assignments and experiments. Even though, we have to complete a lot of assignments and carry out some experiments, my groupmates will always have my back. Thanks to them, our group finish our assignments and experiments on time, which is punctual or sometime really early. I don't really like to delay things which really stressing me out and pissing me of. I'm not saying that I am a calculative person, but I really prefer to finish my works without delaying it.

     I still recall that, at a certain part that me & my group mates launch a water rocket. We did quite a lot of launching. And at a one particular part our launcher detach and we need to reattach it and redo our launching the next day. It is quite an experience to launch a water rocket made by ourselves.      

    All in all, after completing most of our assignments and experiments. I do understand a lot about Physics, and by now I am trying my best to understand Physics more. I do learnt a lot from my teacher, that study smart and study hard will bring success.

When I first started learning physics, I felt physics is a difficult subject. Until now I still felt like that. I don’t know why I can’t understand when I was do the revision for Physics. I tried but I can’t. I want to score excellent mark in my physics but every time exam result came out, I felt so disappointed. I need more time to study Physics. I want to make physics is my favorite subject. I believe I can do that.

The part I enjoy most in physics is when my group members and I do our experiment for hot air balloon in my house. Although our hot air balloon cannot work for a long time we try but I felt so happy to work with my group members.

When I first started learning physics, I thought that I would never be able to understand it and I might fail my physics subject in my SPM examination. Although I had referred to many physics reference books I have bought but I was still unable to understand it that time.  I found that somehow is quite difficult to understand those principle and formula. I never achieve even grade B for it, it is terrible. I used to give up my physic, as I feel bored and hard to understand the concept. However, I did not give up as I ask for helps from my friends who are good in physics and they will never refuse to teach me.

As the saying goes, practice makes perfect, I just kept on doing the past year questions and do as many physics questions as I could. From all the exercises I have done, I knew that the questions are almost the same and we need to always practice to master physics.

Besides, I also did take time to post the questions on lowyat forum on internet.Throught the study on internet ,make the Physics subject more interesting and fun . Those senior forumers were very willing to help me to solve the questions From their explanations, I could understand the questions and I’m able to solve those questions now.

The part I enjoy most in physics is the moment when you have solved a physics question. I find it interesting to get the correct answer and it feels like I have accomplished something big. I feel like want to do more physics exercises because it gives me the confidence to try. Besides, I also enjoy the moment when I have learnt something new.

When I first started learning physic, it was hard for me to understand every topic in each chapter. It took me a long time to make me understand physics concept that had been teach.

I started to like physics when teacher gave us a group projects. I get to know my friends more closely than ever when we start our group projects. The more we do our projects together, the more we get closer to each other. Certainly, at first I did not know this field is very interesting subject, but with the helps my friends I face the reality of the new world. In the group project, I can find various moral values, such as responsibility, cooperative, and other good values.

Scientist had once studied that if we teach friends we can remember 85% of what we teach. That’s why, I tried really hard learning one chapter to master the main topic and I was tried teaching other with what I have learnt. Since that day, I managed to understand physics more than before. That’s why I started to like physic.

The hardest part in physic for me is when we learn mathematical part. I truly think that I’ll not compatible in physics. Until now I still have a few problem with mathematical part, nevertheless I’ll still never give up. I’ll work hard, and try my best for me to have a flying colour in SPM Exam.

Comprehensively, I want to take this opportunity to thanks our physics’ teacher, Mr Lim Chuan Yang for always motivates our studies and patience with us. I really dearly loved physic than before I learn it. That why, Physic is the easiest subject to score in exam.

When I first started learning physics, I thought it is easy as ABC but when I study deep inside, I found that somehow is quite difficult to understand those principle and formula. I never achieve even grade B for it, it is terrible. I used to give up my physic, as I feel bored and hard to understand the concept.

However, as for the future dream career, physic is indeed. Meanwhile, I started to attract by physic is when I started to learn the chapter electronic and radiation. Besides, I also found out that my friends although weak in physic, but they are still did not give up and keep on study. When I saw such a behavior, I feel ashamed and started to think why should I give up?

Finally, I find it interesting when I get the correct answer. It feels like I had done something I never done it before and satisfied. It makes me more confident to keep learning physics and I feel their still has a hope. I started to enjoy the process of learning and I will try my very best to score an A for coming SPM.

When I first started learning physic, it was hard for me to understand most of the physic concepts. It took me quite long time to finally have interest in physic.

I started to find interest in physic when the teacher gave us group projects. I enjoyed doing my physics projects especially when we need to do it in group. I get to know my classmates better. Each time we submit our project before the due date, our teacher always reward us. By rewarding us every time after a project makes us more committed in doing our part to get the project done. By this way, we become excited to be rewarded. Hence, we will do the best we can.

I also liked the new and more effective learning way our physic teacher, Mr. Lim applied in class. The “flipped class” concept. I was really interested in that way of learning even when we just started to practice it in class. It is a new way and we have the chance to use the technology into studying field. It is a good way to learn physic since it makes the subject more arousing.

The challenging part for me is when we learned the electricity topic. I was totally not interested in that topic. I feel really down each time we have to do exercises on the electricity topic because it was my weak point. Then, since most of my classmates did well on the topic, I started to get jealous so I got help from some of my classmates. Slowly, I became better at it and understand it even more. It is good to have a healthy competition among my classmates.

Finally, I want to take this opportunity to thank our physic teacher, Mr. Lim Chuan Yang for always having patience teaching us and thank you also for giving us motivation from time to time. Although your motivation talk is very simple, but it made me realize I need to do some changes in my attitude and studies. Thank you.

When I First Started Learning Physics

When I first started learning Physics, it was a fun experience for me. I doubt that Physics is all about learning formulas and principles of everything that we haven't studied further when I was in Form 3. Although I peeked at books that owns this interesting subject, I can't really master those formulas from the beginning, but as I advanced further into the subject, I can easily master those hard calculations pretty well, except those that I can't understand. The relative principles and definitions are easy as pie, but I will try to learn those that I failed to grab hold. Overall, I convinced that Physics is not so hard to learn, as long as you grab hold of those formulas and principles and always lend your ears to the teachers that took their time to teach you the art and beauty of this subject.

The Part That I Enjoyed The Most

The part that I enjoyed the most in the subject of Physics is the experiments that I had conducted with my friends during the days of learning in school. One of my dreams is to conducting experiments with those science equipment under the supervision of my teacher. When I first started to handle those equipment, I feared that I'll accidentally broke one of them. With help from my friends, I started to learn to handle the equipment firmly and carefully. From all the experiments that I experienced before, one of the best will be the Ripple Tank experiment to explore the diffraction of waves. Its quite disappointing that the motor broke before me and my friends could explore more of this phenomenon. Anyway, its quite an experience that I'll never forget.

          When I first started learning physics, I thought the physic was so difficult for me. I did not understand it very well. I did not understand the concept and the theory of physic. Every times, when the physic teacher was teaching in the class, I could not understand what he said. I felt helpless when studying the physic because I thought it was the most difficult subject for me when compared to other subjects.

Sometimes, I finally understood the mathematical parts of physic but I would forget the method to solve the questions after a long time passed. My school senior told me the method to learn the physic that was I should study smart not study hard. I should have logical thinking when studying physic. I knew that I should be hard-working to learn this subject.

 After that, when I faced any problems, I would ask my teacher for help. Fortunately, my teacher was very patient to teach me until I understood it. My physic lessons were very interesting because my physic teacher always gave us some projects and experiments to allow us to understand the lessons very well.

I started to feel this subject was interesting because it had a close relationship with our environment. I had the responsibility to study this subject because I want to know about the environment and the natural phenomenon that occurs around us every day, every hour, every minute and every second.

        The part I enjoy most in physic is doing group work with my group members. My group members and I are willing to spend more time to do the project together. When we are facing the problems, we will discuss the problems to solve it. For instance, when we are doing the scientific photograph project, my group members and I cooperate to take numerous photos with different types of mirror at different place. My group members and I get a lot of knowledge about the chapter 5 of physic that is Light. It enables us to have the ability to answer any questions about light correctly.

In addition, we are also doing the artifact project. My group is doing the project of water rocket. We face a lot of problems during this project. Luckily, our physic teacher always helps us or gives some opinions to solve our problems. Finally, we finish our project successfully.

In a nutshell, I learn a lot of physic knowledge through these projects. In reality, physic is not a difficult subject. We must have the logical thinking to solve every question. We can get the answer of some questions by looking the natural phenomenon that occurs around us. It is easier to get an excellent result in physic than other subjects such as Chemistry, Biology and others. Physic is the best subject.

Physics is anything happen naturally around us. Physics is common sense. Physics is everything. Physics is a fun and special world. Physics need logical thinking. When I first started learning physic, I cannot understand the concept and theory of physics. Besides, I also cannot remember all the formulae. Furthermore, I also do not know need use which suitable formulae when doing physics questions. When I first started learning physics, I felt helpless and wanted to give up even want to change class.

         The part I enjoy most in physics is when teacher give us physics assignment. My first project is to build a barometer. This project had been done with my classmates. This is the first time we build useful artifact by ourselves. The barometer is using to measure the amount of air pressure. It is useful in our life because it can determine the weather whether is raining or sunny. This project made me started to like physics. I learn about Chapter 3 Force and Pressure from this project.
   
        Apart from that, I also had done scrapbook with title of Specific Latent Heat. I had learnt the phenomenon of specific latent heat, activities that can show specific latent heat, applications of specific latent heat and uses of specific latent heat in our everyday life. This project had able me to gather information to develop the concept of it and reinforce a fact or concept. Besides, this project is done in group work too.

        Other than that, we had also done scientific photograph project. This project made us enjoy in it and tried do our best for it. This project not only fun and creative, it also helps us to learn deeply about chapter 5 Light for form 4. 

        Scientists have made many new discoveries because new technologies have allowed them to see objects that are either very small or very distant. Therefore, we also had done interesting project about Inventions of Laptop. This project able we to know that invention is difficult or even just a moment that make the inventor got the idea. Moreover, we had also done a mind maps to help us more easier to study and understand physics. Next, we had also inventing a simple hydrometer by ourselves. This project not only helps us understand the concept, it also helps us in our exam even in our life too.

       I am happy to have a great physics teacher gave us creative and interesting physics assignment that will help us able to understand concept and theory of physics, learn more, want to know more about it and it also helps us work in group and cooperate done it perfectly. I felt successful and world is wonderful when done physics project and I love physics now.
