Why does a lorry move towards the barrier? It’s not suction, it’s physics. This comic shows the Bernoulli principle at work:
Narrow gap → air speed increases.
High speed → low pressure in the gap.
Outside air slower → high pressure outside.
Pressure difference exists.
Resultant force pushes the lorry towards the barrier.
The exam trap: never say “the barrier sucks the lorry.” The correct explanation is high pressure outside pushes towards low pressure inside.
