SPM Physics: AHA! Light Moment — The Little Forest Inside a Magnifying Glass (Niah Reflections)

Years ago, I captured a quiet moment of my son in Niah National Park — leaning over a fallen tree, curious about the hidden details of the forest. That small act of looking closer became the inspiration for this comic: The Little Forest Inside a Magnifying Glass.

Physics teaches us that a convex lens can magnify tiny objects when placed between the lens and its focal point. But life teaches us something deeper: when we pause, lean closer, and truly observe, we discover worlds we never knew existed. The forest was always there; we just needed to look closer.

This blog is not only about optics. It is about childhood curiosity, parental memory, and the reminder that insight often begins with wonder.

Life Reflection: Childhood curiosity reminds us: the greatest discoveries begin not with sight, but with insight.
