Microammeter (μA): Reading Technique, Current Direction & SPM Physics Tips

 



Mikroameter berpusat sifar ialah alat sensitif yang digunakan untuk mengukur arus elektrik yang sangat kecil dalam unit mikroampere (μA). Ia juga boleh menunjukkan arah aliran arus.

A centre-zero microammeter is a sensitive instrument used to measure very small electric currents in the microampere (μA) range. It can also indicate the direction of current flow.

👀 Cara Membaca | Reading Technique

✅ Baca skala pada paras mata untuk mengelakkan parallax error.

Read the scale at eye level to avoid parallax error.

✅ Pastikan jarum berada pada tanda sifar sebelum pengukuran.

Ensure the pointer is at the zero mark before taking measurements.

✅ Perhatikan sama ada jarum bergerak ke arah positif (+) atau negatif (−).

Observe whether the pointer moves towards the positive (+) or negative (−) side.


❌ Common Mistakes

❌ Menganggap bacaan negatif bermaksud arus "negatif".

Assuming a negative reading means a "negative current".

❌ Menyambung terminal positif dan negatif secara terbalik tanpa menyedarinya.

📌 Skala positif (+) menunjukkan arus mengalir dalam arah yang dijangkakan.

🔍 Why Does It Have Negative Values?

✅ Jarum boleh terpesong ke kiri atau ke kanan bergantung pada arah arus.

The pointer can deflect left or right depending on the current direction.

✅ Bacaan negatif tidak bermaksud "arus negatif", tetapi menunjukkan arah arus yang bertentangan.

A negative reading does not mean "negative current"; it indicates current flowing in the opposite direction.

In magnet and coil experiments, the direction of deflection helps determine the direction of the induced current.
