SPM Physics: AHA! Survival Moment — Cabin Pressure & Curved Windows in Flight

 


Up in the sky, the air outside is super thin — way too low pressure for humans to survive. That’s why planes come with pressurized cabins. Engines keep pumping in fresh compressed air, oxygen masks are the emergency backup, and the fuselage holds everything together like a giant life bubble.

But survival isn’t just about breathing. Even the windows are curved on purpose — not for style points, but to spread out the stress so they don’t crack under pressure. Physics + design = passengers safe and chill.
