Captured in our SuperLab, this setup is a direct visualization of the interaction between electricity and magnetism. We have two copper rods creating a circuit, placed within the powerful, concentrated magnetic field of a U-shaped magnet.
As current flows through the rods, it creates its own magnetic field that interacts with the permanent magnet. The result? The instantaneous, brilliant plasma spark you see here. It’s a tiny, high-voltage moment of truth where electrical energy is converted into magnetic force, motion, and light.
