SPM Physics: AHA! Radiator Upgrade: Stay Cool on the Road

Engines get hot fast — but physics gives us three smart clues to keep them cool. First, use a coolant with high specific heat capacity so it absorbs more heat without rising in temperature too quickly. Second, add a bigger fan to push more air through the radiator. Third, increase the number of cooling fins so heat transfers out faster. AHA! Moment: Physics teaches: absorb more heat, move more air, transfer faster. Life teaches: small upgrades prevent big problems.

AHA! Coolant, fan, fins — three clues to stop overheating. Not by sight, but by INSIGHT!

SPM Physics:AHA! Haze Holiday: Aircon & Hope

Readers, Sarawak has been wrapped in haze this past week from Indonesian forest fires. Lucky coincidence — it’s the school holiday, so we’re stuck at home. But staying indoors all day isn’t exactly fun. I’m no different: with the air outside uncertain, I’ve been blasting the aircon and hiding inside. That’s how this comic came to life.

Physics sneaks into daily life: bigger rooms need more cooling power, inverter systems save energy, clean filters keep us safe. Still, I can already imagine the electricity bill climbing sky‑high. More than anything, I hope the fires are put out soon, and that wisdom prevails in handling this crisis. It’s been way too long since we last saw blue skies and fluffy clouds.

And hey, don’t mind if CIKGU LIM’s proportions look a bit off in the comic — that’s just the playful glitch of comic art. Zoom in and laugh: sometimes imperfections are part of the charm.

Morning in Simanggang, the haze was everywhere. The houses and the long road looked quiet and grey, almost hidden in the smoky air.

School holidays should be about fun outside, but now we just stay indoors. Physics says haze is full of tiny particles that block light. Life says haze blocks our plans too.

I really hope the fires stop soon, so we can see blue skies and white clouds again.

SPM Physics: AHA! Floating Kayak: Balance of Forces

Why doesn’t a kayak sink when an athlete sits inside? The answer lies in Archimedes’ Principle and equilibrium.

The comic teaches the Buoyancy Insight Checklist:

  • Buoyant Force (Upthrust) acts upward.

  • Weight of Kayak + Athlete acts downward.

  • When both are equal → Resultant Force = 0 → Equilibrium → Kayak floats.

  • Formula:
    FB=ρgV
    .

  • Example: With total weight 1100 N, the displaced water volume is
    0.112m3
    .

Lesson: Floating is not magic, but balance. The kayak floats because upward and downward forces match perfectly. AHA! Moment: Physics teaches: buoyant force equals weight, equilibrium achieved. Life teaches: balance is the secret to staying afloat.

AHA! Kayak floats not by luck, but by balance. Not by sight, but by INSIGHT!

AHA! SPM Physics Hot Topics: Study Smart, Score High

SPM Physics Paper 2 is not random — it follows a blueprint. Lesson: Don’t study all, study smart. Tick ✓ strong topics, circle O weak ones, and attack the paper with past‑year drills. Marks are not about luck, but about strategy. AHA! MomentPhysics teaches: hot topics repeat, smart revision scores. Life teaches: strategy beats randomness.

AHA! Past papers reveal patterns. Smart study secures marks. Not by sight, but by INSIGHT!

SPM Physics:AHA! Full Terms: Slam Dunk in Exams

Many students shoot from half court in exams — writing “λ increases,” “f higher,” or “no. of atom.” Confident, but incomplete. Examiners block these answers because symbols are not words. Marks are lost when the concept is unclear.

The comic teaches the Essay Answer Checklist:

Lesson: In exams, every keyword secures a mark. Half‑court shots may look stylish, but only full terms score reliably. AHA! MomentPhysics teaches: symbols are not words, words secure marks. Life teaches: clarity is the slam dunk of communication.

AHA! Half‑court shots miss. Full terms score. Not by sight, but by INSIGHT!
