Last week, I returned to Kuala Lumpur to attend AMFD 2026 at WTC Kuala Lumpur.
By coincidence, it was also around the opening of Merdeka 118 MALL, so I took the opportunity to visit.
Standing at the foot of Merdeka 118, I looked up.
And up.
And up.
The building seemed to disappear into the sky.
Magnificent.
Ambitious.
For a moment, I simply stood there in silence. Then, almost instinctively, I reached for my phone and captured the scene.
Not because it was the tallest building in Malaysia.
But because it felt like an AHA! Moment.
A reminder that every great height begins where no one is looking.
Deep below the surface.
In the foundation.
Everyone notices the height. Few think about the foundation.
Perhaps that is why I took the photograph.
Not to remember the tower, but to remember the lesson hidden beneath it.
NOT BY SIGHT, BUT BY INSIGHT!
